I need tips on carp fishing?

I haven't been carp fishing in years and I thought I might give it a shot. I've also had a heck of a time making some decent bait too. I could use tips on anything, bait, hooks, techniques anything. Thanks =)

2. try this doughbait. Mix grounded up dogfood, crushed birdseeds, flour, and water.Roll them up to whatever size and chum the area with bread or dogfood. Best rig is the egg sinker rig. You have to be patient.
3. I like to keep it simple with the doughbait... Although fancy recipes probably work, it's also nice just to keep it basic. Bread, garlic salt and vanilla extract. Get the job stay and will stay on your hook no matter how hard you cast.
