What are the current fly fishing conditions in Yosemite valley?
We will be camping in Lower Pines this coming weekend (Aug 22-23) and I would like to do some fly fishing on the Merced river near camp. Is it worth it? If so, any advice?

- Worth it? Yes. Beautiful river, spectacular scenery. Will you catch anything? Possibly. Get out EARLY, as there are mobs of people in Yosemite Valley, and by mid-morning there will be too many people around spooking everything in sight. As for specifics, check with a tackle shop outside the park as you head in. (The park shops may sell fishing stuff, but they aren't run by fishermen.)
